Rikk With The HITMEN

The Hitmen Reunion show last Sunday was a lot of fun. It was great working with them again and seeing David McCall again after he moved to Portland two years ago.
Rikk was a huge help, allowing us to end the acoustic duo part of the show sooner than we could have by just waiting for John.
The audience and was more than ready for full-electric Hitmen.

Thanks, Rikk!
You did a great job as always, just like a true Hitman.

This Weekend's Bliss Schedule:
Friday May 30: Speedway Sports Bar, Grissom Road and Timber Path.
Saturday May 31: Hooligan's, IH35 and Loop 1604 in Live Oak.

Run To The Hills

I don't want to start sounding like a skipping record repeating the same shit over and over again, but this Bliss band has got some serious skills and kicks ass all over pretty much everyone else in South Texas.

The Guadalupe River Club in Kerrville will never be the same after the spank we inflicted on them.

On the ride home only 2/3rds of us complained about painful bite marks.

This Bliss Week

BLISS will be at the Guadalupe River Club in Kerrville on Saturday May 24th, and Steve and I will be at Oasis (Embassy Oaks, West Ave and Bitters Rd next to Wise Guys) for the HITMEN Reunion Show on Sunday night after the Spurs game.
Rikk will also be there for emergency bass duties so it's almost like a 60% Bliss show with added Jaegermeister.

Chrissy In Infrared

Backstage at Oyster Bake.
My camera can shoot pictures capturing light in just the infrared spectrum, for a totally different look.

Mad Dog's Blue Light Special

Nobody died this time, so it must have been a good show.

Try The Bacon-Wrapped Filet

From Charlie Brown's this past Saturday Night.

The boys of Bliss for you meat-lovers.
It's not always about Chrissy--and now I'm going to get my ass beat for saying that.

Sunday May 18: Mad Dogs on the Riverwalk

Hot Tin Roof

I wasn't "in the loop" on this gig so the Lesbianvasion aspect caught me by surprise.

Watching the Spurs lose was a real downer, but our show was pretty awesome even with the little sound system the club had. I don't think it would be too much trouble to drag our stuff in there next time...?

Mad Dogs

Another great show, this time on the Riverwalk downtown.

Watching the SPURS beat the Hornets again was a nice way to kill time before we played.

Revolution Room

BLISS taught the Revolution Room a few things about how it's done tonight.

The crowd was late due to the SPURS game. I can't fucking believe we lost.

True-to-form the band grabbed everyone by the tits early and never let go.

The high point for me was Florin's extended guitar solo during the Outfield song--that shit was spontaneous yet sounded like it had been painstakingly edited from 100 takes during three days in a studio at $500 an hour.
This guy is a Musician in every sense of the word--probably the best guitarist I've ever worked with.
